1) Don’t Fear Failure
Take a sledgehammer to the status quo and create new possibilities. An expert has failed more times than the beginner has tried. True failure is succeeding at things that don’t really matter.
2) Accept That You Did Your Best
Speak with passion, justify with logic and be the most prepared person in the room.
3) Love What You Do
The greatest human goals are to either make or save time, money or energy – none of these things matter if you’re unhappy.
4) Reevaluate Your Why or It’ll Spoil
Write your personal mission statement defining what success looks like to you. Finding clarity of purpose will help you come to terms of WHY you do what you do.
5) Practice Emotional Intelligence & Be Genuine
Surround yourself with great people who inspire you, and figure out how to support each other. People won’t be truthful with someone they don’t trust.
6) Everyone Has A Story
Meet people where they are to see what others can’t. It only takes 1 great leader to encourage action and inspire a team to greatness. A person who feels appreciated will always do more than expected.
7) Invest In Yourself, Develop A Growth Mindset
Be around people outside your own echo chamber for better perspective. Start talking to other people; reading things you wouldn’t otherwise read; travel places you wouldn’t otherwise travel – but as you do, be aware of your own individual biases.
8) Hire The Right Boss
Don’t settle on anything less than working for someone who is committed to your potential at a company where you feel connected with their mission. The happiest people are those who do the things they are passionate about with people they really like.
9) Keep Things Simple
Become unstoppable by preaching a vision and make small steps everyday toward making it happen. Start with what you procrastinate the most but don’t over analyze it. Many people start with the best intentions and are soon buried in complications and controls that make it impossible to deliver.
10) Genuinely Listen To Others
Emails are great for information, not conversation. The most effective way to communicate is over the phone or coffee. Collaborating works wonders if done right and often replacing confusing email chains.

BONUS! Go The Extra Mile
People are remembered for their accomplishments and how they carried themselves. No matter what you do, strive to leave it better than you found it. Don’t forget to reflect often on just how far you’ve come!
